Fight your way through a limitless amount of aberrations, strategically spawned by another player, while solving a series of mini-challanges.

Very fun and intense when playing against a friend, but singleplayer is also an option.

Made for the Acerola Jam 0.

Controls for the ground player

- W, A, S, D to move
- Left-click to shoot
- E or F to interact
- Shift to run
- ESC to release mouse/exit fullscreen
- Left or right-click to capture mouse

Controls for the overview player

- Left-click to drag and drop aberrations from the bottom right corner onto a free space. You cannot place enemies too close to the player.

Notes:

- When playing the web version and your view keeps moving to the right -> use the fullscreen button, that should fix it. This is a bug in the Godot Engine.
- If the browser performance is bad for you, please consider trying the windows version. This is also a bug in Godot when enabling shadows on spotlights with the compatibility/web renderer. See the issue here.

- Browsers do not support LAN-based hosting, therefore the multiplayer is only available in the windows version.
- Using a service like Hamachi allows you to play against someone across the globe.
- The player that is hosting the game will be the player on the ground.
- Although a bug, it is possible for more than 2 players to join a host, each additional player gets their own overview and can spawn aberrations separately, quickly overrunning the ground player.

Why multiplayer?

Well, i messed up by not re-reading the rules when the jam started. I read them multiple times when the jam was announced and was sure that that rule wasn't in there, so i checked with wayback machine to make sure i hadn't just missed it. So yeah, that's on me. I noticed the rule toward the end and added a singleplayer mode that's just as challenging. I didn't want to not submit it as it took me 83 hours to make this.  (I know the exact amount as i planned to make a video/timelapse about it and recorded everything)

Install instructions

After unzipping the windows version, windows might complain that is unsafe and prevent you from starting the game. This is due to me not being able to sign the application and allowing windows to verify that it is a legit program. If that warning pops up you can, at least for this game, safely press more info followed by run anyway.
